ADLER – Sylvaner Alto Adige DOC

ADLER – Sylvaner Alto Adige DOC

Experience the Essence of Sylvaner
The Sylvaner Alto Adige DOC by Adler Winery is a sophisticated white wine that captures the character of the Valle Isarco’s unique terroir. This elegant wine, originating from a grape variety most likely rooted in Germany, has found its home in the well-ventilated and sun-soaked hillsides of the mid-Valle Isarco since around 1900. Sylvaner thrives in these intermediate altitudes, benefiting from the loose, gravelly soils that provide an unparalleled sense of place and bring forth a distinct expression of Alto Adige wines.

A Reflection of the Terroir
Grown at altitudes ranging from 520 to 850 meters, the Sylvaner vines enjoy optimal sun exposure and well-drained conditions. The skeleton-rich alluvial soils, enriched with diorite and quartz phyllite, allow the grapes to develop a unique mineral character and complexity. The careful cultivation methods and respect for the land’s natural properties ensure that each bottle truly reflects its origins.

Meticulous Vinification Process
The Sylvaner Alto Adige DOC undergoes delicate processing and careful crushing, followed by controlled-temperature fermentation to retain its aromatic profile. Ageing takes place on fine lees within stainless steel tanks, preserving the wine’s fresh character and vibrant acidity, without undergoing malolactic fermentation. This results in a wine that boasts remarkable clarity and balance, with a clean, pure finish.
